Labor Doula + Postpartum Doula

Calgary doula and Calgary placenta encapsulation - Michelle Wagner

While completing her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Calgary, Michelle came across an opportunity to volunteer as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Though this opportunity, she found her passion for supporting others. The girls she mentored quickly recognized her nonjudgmental nature and excellent listening skills. During her six years with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Michelle was recognized for her dedication and hard work with a “Circle of Excellence” award, in 2009.

Michelle gained tremendous insight and the open-mindedness necessary to truly support each family on their unique journey through parenthood by being supported herself. First, through her battle with depression in her teen years, and again as she adjusted to motherhood and worked through the challenges of breastfeeding with her own two children, Michelle has personally experienced the value of unbiased, nonjudgmental support.

As your Postpartum Doula, Michelle will bring a sense of peace to your home with her soft-spoken, and kind-hearted nature. Others describe her as dedicated, trustworthy and well-respected. Michelle will keep you and your family nourished with her love of baking, professional cooking skills and the use of our exclusive meal planning process.

When Michelle is not nurturing new families you will find her chasing her two children, traveling to competitions with her accordion ensemble and playing piano, which she has been doing for over 25 years. Michelle is fluent in both German and Swiss German. Michelle shares a call schedule with our other doulas ensuing you always have a doula you trust available to you.
