I’ve learned a thing or two about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to formula and bottle feeding. Recently, using infant formula has become simpler than ever before and I wanted to share a few of my favorite products that will make even part time bottle feeding more convenient for you!
The most essential items for bottle feeding is of course the bottles. There are a bazillion options out there and your preference will have a lot to do with how often you are using bottles, whether you are using infant formula or expressed breastmilk and more. Check out this detailed comparison of the top bottles for excellent information on your options!
Playtex Nurser with Drop-ins Liners are widely available at BabiesRUs, Shopper’s Drug Mart, and Walmart.
Having the right bottle brush is pretty much my top priority. I don’t care what bottle you are using (with the exception of bottles with disposable liners) if you can’t get it clean, easily, you’re going to be unhappy. I prefer a combined sponge and brush with a nipple sized brush on the other end.
I’ve always been a keep it simple kind of parent. I used to casually blog about topics like “You Don’t Need All That Baby Stuff”. As a postpartum doula, I have had the opportunity to try so many different products and I can tell you… you want a bottle drying rack. They keep the clutter down and the clean bottles and nipples actually get dry. I look for dishwasher safe racks with removable drip tray.
Skip Hop Splash Drying Rack is pretty, and fits all my requirements for the perfect bottle drying rack.
I see the Munchkin Bottle Drying Rack in many client homes. It works well and is easy to clean. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a drip tray.
If you haven’t seen the Baby Brezza Formula Pro in action you’re missing out. It’s like the Keurig of infant formula! The Baby Brezza Formula Pro is simple to use and prepares the right sized bottle at a perfect 37 degrees, every time. If you plan to use formula, this machine is a must have!
Breastfeeding pillows are also really helpful for bottle feeding. Check out Lacey’s Picks: Breastfeeding Essentials for my favorite nursing pillows.
Whichever way you feed your baby, the right tools can help you have a pleasant experience!
